IMA 1: Job Performance Aid

About IMA 1

This is the Performance Job Aid that I created in PhotoShop. Based on my Performance Problem Analysis, which can be viewed here, I determined that the best way to solve my "performance problems" would be to develop a checklist to help me get into the right mindset for working for Bountiful Bites By Michelle. This checklist consists of simple "Yes/No" questions that I can ask myself before starting work, so that I "feel" like I'm at work. It could be printed out and hung in the kitchen as a reminder.

Educational Value of IMA 1

In the case of IMA 1, it's a bit different to calculate the Educational Value of the Job Aid because both the creator of the Job Aid and its intended user are the same person: me. In my opinion, the process of carrying out the Performance Problem Analysis and designing the Job Aid had as much influence on my behavior as the Job Aid itself did, and perhaps an interesting strategy for companies would be to have workers perform their own Performance Problem Analysis and create Job Aids for themselves. It certainly worked in my case. Furthermore, this assignment provided me with the opportunity to practice PhotoShop and better understand the concept and unique constraints of a Job Performance Aid.
